ABSTRACT Motivational strategies are among the most promising approaches to improve the effectiveness of batterer intervention programs (BIPs). An individualized motivational plan (IMP) is one of these motivational strategies. [EN] The aim of this study is to determine the usefulness of the Management and Intervention Inventory for Young (IGI-J) in predicting the past recidivism in young offenders, and the implementation of appropriate intervention programs for that population. A retrospective study with a sample of 258 juvenile offenders who were serving a penal measure was performed. The instrument that evaluated the prediction of recidivism is the Youth Level of Service/Case Management Inventory (Hoge and Andrews, 2002). La presente investigación brinda una propuesta de cómo incorporar en el plan curricular peruano elementos concretos que dinamicen y enriquezcan los primeros fundamentos respecto a la competencia lectora en la etapa infantil. Si bien se ha apostado por respetar los procesos evolutivos y el contexto al que pertenecían estos niños, fue necesario especificar qué habilidades favorecen el proceso lector. De este modo, el trabajo ha buscado mejorar las habilidades de inicio a la lectura que podrían incidir en el desarrollo de competencias lectoras y a la vez aportar evidencia empírica para complementar el modelo de la enseñanza de la lectura en las primeras etapas escolares.

Batterer intervention programs (BIPs) are among the main treatment approaches for IPVAW offenders. The most common outcome used in the evaluation of BIP effectiveness is recidivism. Efforts to increase BIP effectiveness in reducing recidivism should focus on key predictive variables of this outcome. En este estudio, se analizan las tasas de abandono del tratamiento en hombres inmigrantes latinoamericanos con problemas de consumo de alcohol (PCA) derivados a programas de intervención con maltratadores, y se explora si aquellos que consiguen finalizar la intervención se diferencian de los que no tienen PCA en variables resultado de la intervención. La muestra la componen 107 hombres latinoamericanos condenados por violencia contra la mujer. Al contrario de lo esperado, no se confirman mayores tasas de abandono entre los participantes con PCA.
